2021 Breast Cancer Survivorship Experience

The Healing Consciousness Foundation will be holding our 2021 Breast Cancer Survivorship Experience (BCSE) from November 5 - 7, 2021. This will be a unique hybrid event this year. For those who can join us in person the event will be held at the Spark Transformation Center located at 521 Moredon Rd Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 (outside Philadelphia). We will be using zoom for those of you who cannot attend in person. Our co-directors again this year are Dr. Beth DuPree and Dr William Scarlett.

Breast Fellows and the nurse navigators can Register NOW. This course is free for breast surgical oncology fellows and plastic surgery fellows.

Event: Nipple Sparing Mastectomy: A Team Approach Course
Dates/Times: Friday, September 30, 2021 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, Saturday, October 1, 2021 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
This one-day course highlights contemporary advances in Nipple Sparing/Skin Sparing Mastectomies and Reconstructive Techniques to effectively address individual patient and surgeon needs, with special emphasis on the crucial role of teamwork between the General Breast Surgeon and the Plastic Reconstructive Surgeon to enable optimal clinical and aesthetic outcomes. This Medtronic course is led by our distinguished breast surgery faculty, including Course Chairs Beth Baughman DuPree, MD, FACS, ABIHM and Shawna Willey, MD FACS. The course curriculum features engaging faculty presentations, how-to videos, case studies with interactive discussions and a hands-on cadaveric lab. During the cadaver education, attendees will have the opportunity to watch and perform nipple sparing/skin sparing mastectomies and reconstructive techniques under the direct supervision of our faculty.
